The Projects

Our Work

Selected projects.

Licensed General Contractor

One license. Every phase, start to finish.

The GC License

Our State of Florida General Contractor license authorizes us to manage every aspect of your project: permits, coordination of all licensed subcontractors, inspections, and final sign-off. One contract, one point of accountability, from survey to certificate of occupancy.

Residential Construction

Custom homes, coastal renovations, and complete interior remodels across South Florida. We develop the design concept, pull every permit, coordinate all trades, and deliver a finished home to certified standards.

Commercial Build-Outs

Tenant interior fit-outs, structural framing and drywall, finishes, and remodel projects across South Florida. Commercial is about 30% of our portfolio — the same GC license, the same coordination, the same finish standards as our residential builds.

Frequently Asked

Questions about our work.

What types of construction projects does Nakamura specialize in?

Custom residential homes, kitchen and bathroom remodels, full living-space reconfigurations, new construction, home additions, framing and drywall, flooring and finishes, interior painting, and commercial tenant build-outs. Roughly 70% of our work is residential and 30% commercial, delivered under our Florida General Contractor license (CBC‑1268079) across Palm Beach, Martin, and St. Lucie counties.

How does Nakamura's General Contractor license benefit me as a client?

A licensed GC is authorized to pull permits, hire and supervise licensed subcontractors, manage municipal inspections, and sign off on the certificate of occupancy. With CBC‑1268079, you get one accountable contract: one team, one warranty, one point of contact from the first walkthrough to the final inspection.

Does Nakamura design custom homes from the ground up, or only remodel existing ones?

Both. We build custom new construction and complete renovations across residential and commercial. The design language is developed by our team for each project, regardless of whether the foundation is new or existing.

What cities and counties does Nakamura serve?

Our primary service area is South Florida: Delray Beach, Boynton Beach, West Palm Beach, Wellington, Palm Beach Gardens, Jupiter, Stuart, and Port St. Lucie, across Palm Beach, Martin, and St. Lucie counties. For projects outside this range, reach out — we evaluate on a case-by-case basis.

How is a Designer Project different from a standard residential build?

A Designer Project is a build where our in-house design team led the entire scope — material curation, spatial composition, custom millwork details — from concept through final installation. Standard residential builds still involve our design team, but the design language is less central to the overall brief. Both are built under the same GC license, by the same team.

How long has Nakamura been building in South Florida?

Over 14 years of field experience, with 500+ projects delivered across residential, commercial, and design-led builds. Every project is delivered under our Florida Certified General Contractor license (CBC‑1268079) to certified building standards.
