About the Project
A taproom, built from the shell to the last pour.
Frazier Creek Brewing & Distilling Co is a commercial taproom fit-out in South Florida where Nakamura Contractors turned a bare commercial space into a working brewery and distillery taproom. A reclaimed-wood bar anchors the room, high-top tables and a lounge fill the floor, and the original industrial ceiling stays exposed overhead.
The brief blended industrial and warm. Reclaimed barn-wood feature walls, brick accents, antler and crystal chandeliers, and olive-green walls over polished concrete floors. A tasting lounge with leather club chairs and barrel tables gives guests somewhere to settle in.
Like every Nakamura commercial build, one in-house team carried the project from the bare shell through the final fixture. Framing, finishes, the bar build, and the seating, sequenced to get the operator open on schedule.
From the People We Build For
Reviews from across Florida.
How we built it
Three movements, one continuous build.
-
Plan & Permit
Site walk, measurements, and conversations with the operator about how the floor needs to flow on a busy night. Drawings, layout sign-off, and permits before anything is cut.
-
Build the Shell
Framing, mechanicals, drywall. Bar rough-in, electrical for the lighting, and the structural work the finish quietly depends on. The slow part nobody sees but everything else sits on.
-
Finish & Open
Reclaimed-wood walls and bar, flooring, seating, lighting, fixtures, and the punch-list. Sequenced by the same in-house team, with one supervisor end-to-end. Keys hand over ready to pour.
